Business Seat Issues

Just landed at LHR from MIA. In seat 51A business - seat did not recline. Only option was manual lay flat / upright (no in between). How do I complain about this and what comp am I likely to receive. I asked FA to log issue.

Were you offered another seat, the SCCM should have completed a compensation form on their iPad?

There were a number of seats in our cabin with issues. Flight Attendant was pretty dismissive when I asked for it to be logged. How can i
log to gain appropriate compensation please?

If you google british airways complaints you end up here

https://www.britishairways.com/trave...c/en_gb/select

I would recommend choosing 'on board the aircraft' then 'seating'. There is an option there for the seat not reclining

I was in 53K on the same flight and also had issues. Cabin was pretty worn.

Agreed - not in the greatest of state at all. Have submitted a claim.

I had the same exact situation a month ago, also from MIA. I submitted a claim, not exactly complaining, but "just to let you know...". They responded with a 400 e voucher.
I was happy with that.

Whether it's delay / cancel comp or seat issue comp - these A380s must continue to cost a bomb in comp

Wonder if this would ever happen here in the UK if someone took the airline to court.

https://simpleflying.com/court-singa...-recline-fail/

"Court Orders Singapore Airlines To Pay Passengers $3,500 For Seat Recline Fail On 4-Hour Flight

Two individuals were compensated after their seats failed to recline electronically"

Probably not as much as you think. Most passengers have little or no idea of their rights to EU261 or general compensation regarding things like seat recline. And BA do not go a long way to letting them know.

And anecdotally from a BA contact who visited the NCL call centre a few years ago out of those who do apply and BA initially fob off, 80% don't take it any further.

It's spurred me on to claim for everything I'm entitled to since having heard that interesting nugget of information.
