Nov 3, 09 9:55 pmI am a fairly new memebr and couldn't find another post relating to this issue, so if it has been addressed somewhere else, I apologize. I am sorry if this seems really long, but here goes - I have RT tickets booked and have had a schedule change and an equipment change on both flights. I don't have a problem with the return flight change, but our outbound flight has been moved up by 1/2 hour. I tried to find out the policy on the website about changes and no info available. The NWA site gives me option to switch our return flight, but not our outbound flight. Called NWA to find out what policy is about it and the agent says she doesn't know, and NWA doesn't have access to their booking system or their website anymore so there is nothing she can do. Figured it was just a sytem glitch and decide to call back later. Call back later, to find out that typically the schedule change needs to be 60 minutes or more to be eligible to switch flights. I asked why if the return flight hasn't been changed by that long, so why do I get option on that flight but not outbound? Again, I am told she has no idea because they no longer have access to their systems.
Called Delta thinking they might have more information on their end since apparently NWA can't find anything. I tell Delta it's an NWA ticket and Delta tells me since there has been a schedule change, of any amount of time, that I am eligible to choose a different flight. He asks for my res # and pulls it up, says he can't help me because its an NWA res# and transfers me (which I don't get because I said in the beginning it was an NWA ticket???) to the NWA cust. serv. line who again tell me the same thing, they don't have access to their systems so even if they wanted to change flights for me they couldn't because they can't access the systems.
I am thoroughly confused - how can it possibly be that neither NWA or Delta have access to NWA systems and if NWA doesn't have access to their own flight info, why is Delta transferring customers over to NWA customer service line when they can't help anyone?
Anyone else encounter this or have any idea what is going on and where I can find out what rules are being applied to what flights?
