I would go with the paid fare, since I view a redemption in C as a superior value to a Y redemption.

With the extra 30k RDM from a paid trip to TPE (plus to 90k you would have spent on the Y redemption) and the expanded BF availability to Plats, you can put together a nice reward redemption in C.
